EVERYBODY’S INVITED. ONE COMPUTER.
A shared computer for conversational coding.
A live voice coding agent. A browser everyone can see. Work the next person can carry forward.
Duplex Party explores what happens when strangers share a coding agent and a persistent computer. There is no assigned project or finish line. Someone might start a small app, another person might build on it, and the next caller might take it somewhere entirely different.
Work alongside an agent
Full-Duplex Code keeps you in a real-time conversation while the coding agent works. Speak, listen, interrupt and clarify the next step. The shared browser lets the agent show what it means while it explains.
How it works
- Watch. Land on the live screen and follow the conversation, browser and coding work.
- Take the mic. Join the queue, then accept your 30-second invitation. Your voice guides the agent during your turn.
- Leave something. The turn ends, but the projects remain. The next person inherits the ongoing work.
Questions about the experiment
What is Duplex Party?
Duplex Party is one persistent computer shared by successive visitors. One person at a time talks to Full-Duplex Code, while the audience watches the same screen and hears the conversation.
How do I take a turn?
Choose a unique name and join the queue. When you are next, accept the invitation within 30 seconds. Your microphone is broadcast only after you join the call.
What can the audience do?
The audience can watch, read the conversation, use room chat, explore earlier recordings, or join the queue. The caller guides the agent by voice and chooses the shared browser or terminal view.
What happens when a turn ends?
The person loses microphone and shared-view control, while the computer and projects persist. The next caller can continue, remix, or redirect the work.
What happens if I refresh during a call?
Refreshing ends your active turn. Your browser keeps your name, and you can join the queue again. Waiting visitors keep their queue position until their invitation expires.
Are calls private?
No. Caller and agent audio and the computer stream are public and recorded for replay. Room chat is separate from the coding agent.
What powers the computer?
Full-Duplex Code provides the live voice companion, Codex is the coding harness, and Open Claude in Chrome operates the shared browser. The website, queue, data and shared computer are hosted on Cloudflare.
